Transportation Issues

The Handlers' vehicle has been parked in front of the house now for ...over a month. That's not the usual spot for parking this car. For the amount of time the hood has been open, I suspect it's more serious than simply running out of gas.

But through this challenge, the Handlers have realized just how beneficial it is living a kilometer from the bus stop. When they need something major...like a multimeter or a solar panel ... one of them takes the bus into town. For the quick trips to the Co-op or the Dispensa (neighborhood market), this is their preferred mode of transportation:

Mini-Female Handler brought this colorful bike over from Buenos Aires a couple of months ago on the ferry. Having a vehicle...two or four wheel...allows you priority boarding and priority access off the ferry by the way--not a bad deal especially when you consider that bikes are free as long as they are accompanied by a paying passenger.

The Handers are awfully happy to have this bike. It has proven invaluable. And they look forward to ditty-bopping over to Buenos Aires on it as well.
