Mini-FH's upside down world

Last weekend mini-Female Handler went for a walk with Female Handler's camera. Being the creative artist that she is, she wanted to take pictures of the world as viewed from looking upside down through her legs...

Well...

Um...

Fantastic pictures, but the Olympus e series does not want the world to be upside down, and flips it.

So after a bit of tweaking....this is how mini-FH actually saw things:

(that seriously took waaaay too much time)

My evening agenda

If you wonder what I do in the evenings, my schedule is fairly similar every night. I hunt for a lap.

Preferably it's a lap closest to the fire in the fireplace.

Also in the fireplace is a pot of water (for the evening water bottles) and almonds toasting for tomorrow's oatmeal.

I know what you're thinking, and trust me...I'm thinking it too. The least they could do is stroke me.

Campo (Farm) Attire

Farm attire for the handlers always consists of muck boots which are rubber boots that allow you to go anywhere without fear that their feet will get wet. What comes after the essential boots is up to the discretion of the wearer.

In the case of mini-Female Handler, this is what she selected to wear last weekend when she was home for a long weekend.

But wait...it gets better!

Happy First Day of Winter

Primer día de invierno. Ilustración de Christoph Niemann.
Honestly I don't know how long anyone can see the picture above or whether it will disappear tomorrow, but Google must know this is a knitting and crochet home (natch because of all the cookies they plant on female handlers computer watching where she goes....). So they get kudos for the customization ...even if it's not just for this home.

It was -1 Celsius today with heavy frost. Inside we're wearing one cap. Outside we wear two caps.

The steamship-size woodstove is cranking (only because mini-female handler came in yesterday for a long weekend. If I had known she was the key to heat, I would have encouraged her to come over sooner!).

Scenes of late Fall

Early morning fog

Looking through to the orchard in the back

"Senior Handler V" stole a snippet of this plant from town. She'll be glad to know it is thriving.

Late afternoon fog rolling in from the river

"Don't bother me, I'm busy!"

The new entrance design!

I sit, ever vigilent, watching over my domain

Maybe he's more into Elvis?

So...Marvin Gaye worked for Timi. She was chasing Sonny; I mean seriously chasing him. Sonny on the other hand was hauling arse away from her. Perhaps he's more of a Love Me Tender kind of  billygoat? He's not a one-night-stand goat. He's into a serious relationship...
Here he is seriously contemplating his next nibble

Now his mom, Chochi, is in heat. No, rest assured.... we're not going to subject him to her.

We'll wait until the end of June and attempt again with Timi. If he continues to show no interest, we'll be quickly searching the departamento for an eligible billygoat.

Let's Get It On

Marvin Gaye can set the stage pretty well, but does it work for goats? Timi's in heat, and between her moaning and chasing after Sonny, our only billy, you'd think that the stars would be aligned. But is the feeling reciprocal? Sonny isn't quite sure of all this sudden affection by a mature female who usually takes every opportunity to deal him a hard blow with her horns. Could it be that we have a gay billy? Seriously, wouldn't that just be a bummer....

The Handlers tried to set the stage last night by tying Timi to a beam leaving relatively no slack. Then Female Handler started brushing her down, which turns the goats into compliant mush. Very relaxed, Sonny was brought over to her back end to get a good whiff of femaleness. Not interested.

So tonight they are bringing out the big guns....

A little Marvin Gaye. Bright twinkling stars and the Milky Way (ok, that always exists). A little brushing...and we'll see where this goes.
